Moroccan Hammam Ritual
Transform your bodycare routine into a luxurious Moroccan selfcare ritual. Inspired by traditional hammam practices — deeply cleansing, exfoliating and nourishing.
We believe bodycare should feel intentional, calming and beautiful.
The Ritual
Eight Steps to Radiant Skin
Create Warmth & Soften the Skin
Start with a warm shower or bath for 10–15 minutes. The warmth helps soften dead skin cells and prepares the skin for exfoliation.
- Warm & relaxed skin
- Slightly damp
- Pores open
Apply Moroccan Black Beldi Soap
Apply a thin layer of Moroccan Black Beldi Soap onto damp skin. Leave it on for 5 minutes while staying in the warm steam.
- Softens dead skin
- Loosens buildup
- Deeply cleanses pores
- Prepares for exfoliation
Exfoliate with a Kessa Glove
Rinse the black soap away thoroughly. Then use a Kessa glove on wet skin using firm but controlled strokes. Work in sections and move upwards across the body.
- Removes dead skin
- Clears excess oil
- Removes impurities
- Smooths rough texture
- Reduces strawberry legs
Rinse & Cleanse Away Residue
Rinse the skin thoroughly once exfoliation is complete. At this stage, the skin feels smoother, cleaner, softer and more receptive to nourishment. If desired, use a gentle cleanser to remove any remaining residue.
Apply Ghassoul Clay
Ghassoul clay is one of Morocco's most treasured beauty secrets. For best results, mix the clay with Rose Water instead of normal water — this creates a more luxurious treatment while soothing and refreshing the skin.
- Absorbs excess oil
- Purifies pores
- Improves skin texture
- Detoxifies naturally
Face Care Optional
You can also include face care in your hammam ritual.
- Nila Powder for uneven tone & dullness
- Ghassoul Clay as a gentle face mask
Nourish with Argan Oil
After rinsing, apply Argan Oil onto slightly damp skin. Massage gently using slow circular motions.
- Locks in moisture
- Restores softness
- Improves glow
- Supports skin barrier
Consistency Over Intensity
A Moroccan hammam ritual is not meant to be done every day. For most skin types, once per week or every second week is enough to maintain soft, glowing skin.

Questions
FAQ
How often should I do a hammam ritual? +
Usually once per week is enough for most skin types. Every second week works well for sensitive skin.
Can I use Ghassoul Clay on my face? +
Yes! Just avoid the eye area and do not let it dry excessively on sensitive skin.
Should I use soap before the Kessa glove? +
Yes. Black soap softens the skin and prepares it for exfoliation. This step is important for the best results.
Is the ritual suitable for sensitive skin? +
Yes, but exfoliate gently and avoid excessive pressure. For very sensitive skin, skip the Kessa glove on delicate areas and reduce clay application time.
